Brewery Tours | 9 Craft Breweries Near SkyTrain
Metro Vancouver is home to a thriving craft brewery scene. In the spirit of Oktoberfest, we’ve gathered a list of local craft breweries within walking distance of SkyTrain stations to celebrate the month of beer. So, keep the car at home and hop on the SkyTrain for a self-guided tour or some of our favourite local breweries. Prost!
Tasting room: 1319 Third Avenue, New Westminster
Nearest Skytrain Station: You'll want to wear comfortable shoes if you're walking here, but the 15-minute walk from New Westminster Station is worth it.
Enjoy one of their 14 brews on tap at their tasting room while munching on their charcuterie share plates and beef jerky. The brewery fuses the art scene and brewery concept together with their recently unveiled rotating gallery space which aims to bring together community and diverse voices into the tasting room. The first theme featured is “Community.” Also, kids can join in on the festivities as they have lemonade on tap!

This local brewery recently took home the top prize of Brewery of the Year at the 2018 Canadian Brewing Awards for their carefully crafted Belgian-style craft beer. Their beautiful wood finished 50-seat tasting room makes you feel as if you are nestled in a forest of some sorts – perfect for a fall day!

Near the Port Moody Centre Station, you can hit up several of BC’s best breweries and arguably some of the best patios in the burbs. These breweries are conveniently located right next to one another, which makes patio hopping easier than ever. During the summer months, you'll often find a variety of food trucks outside select breweries in case want you some munchies to go with your drinks. Some of these breweries, such as Parkside, have a patio that is entirely dog-friendly, so you can bring the whole family along.

Nearest SkyTrain Station: 12-minute walk from Main St. Station
This brewery offers a unique industrial look, featuring vintage red trucks and a water post outside - sure to be hit on your Instagram feed! They also have a variety of items on their food (did someone say all-day breakfast?) that will be sure to pair deliciously with your Red Truck Beer. Beer? Check. Dinner? Check. Live music? Also check. They have a stellar line up of artists hitting their stage, so you can enjoy some live tunes while you sip on your drink.

Urban Eatery and Beer Shop: 310 West 4th Avenue, Vancouver
Nearest SkyTrain Station: 5-minute walk from Olympic Village Station
Originally from Calgary, this brewery went on to bring their malty goodness to Ontario and here at home on West 4th. Experience the behind the scenes brewing process, including sampling and education, at one of their tours led by their in house Beerologists. Plus, they have some great deals on for happy hour from 3-6pm, which leaves more room in your wallet for a couple more beers.

Every heard of a brewery that offers acai bowls, noodle salad and beer all in one place? Look no further. 33 Acres combines blog-worthy meals and a solid array of beers in a crisp and modern tasting room. If beer isn’t quite your thing (or if you just need a break), they also make a mean latte.
